Your Guide to IRS Notices. Don’t Panic!
There’s several different notices that the IRS will send you. There’s balance due notices. There’s a letter audit where, you know, maybe you forgot to report a W2 and they received a copy that wasn’t on your tax return. That’s, you know, we call that a letter audit. There could be employment audits or you could just be completely audited downright, and they wanna start investigating your record.
There’s a variety of different IRS notices and different levels of urgency, but everything should be responded to. I just try to encourage my clients not to have panic because I’m really confident in what I do, and by them panicking and calling the IRS right away, they’re really creating a problem for themselves.
They have to call a professional first and just be calm and know that they’re in good hands, not call the IRS.
