Foreign tax credit is very complicated. Like I’m making it sound simple, but it’s not. And it’s basically driven by are you paying tax to a country that has a treaty with the United States saying you can claim a foreign tax credit. That’s really the first prong that you have to answer. And then there’s other eligibility after that. No double dipping with foreign earned income exclusion and some other things you have to look at.
