So when I get in front of an IRS agent and I’m representing my client, I am there to make this fast, easy, painless. That’s the goal. Some IRS audits can take two months. I’ve had IRS audits take four years. It depends on the scale of the audit, what’s found during the audit process, but the goal is to always have the taxpayer expose the least amount possible because they are protected by rights, and to have the audit go as short as possible.
