As a partner at Palermo, Landsman & Ross, Brett specializes in complex tax matters for individuals and corporations, both domestically and internationally. His expertise includes collaborating with the IRS on legislative interpretations. He also leads the firm’s auditing and attestation division, overseeing audits, reviews, and compilations.
Brett has extensive experience working with a variety of industries, including construction, law firms, medical practices, and other entrepreneurial businesses.
Background
Brett was born and raised in South Florida—one of the rare native Floridians! He currently lives in Plantation with his family.
Brett earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida, followed by a Master of Science in Taxation from Florida Atlantic University.

In addition to his role at PLR, Brett serves as the Treasurer of the Florida Design and Construction Professionals, an organization that supports Florida’s design and construction community by providing awareness, events, and opportunities for local businesses and students interested in the field.
When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Mariel, and their two amazing kids, Joanna and Leo. They love swimming, reading, and playing with the collection of toys they’ve gathered over the years!
