Just started your business? Time to think about an exit strategy

You know what’s crazy too about exit planning or succession planning is when we have clients who are setting up their business, starting it with a partner, we make sure that in their agreements, how do you dissolve this? Everyone’s gung-ho that they’re gonna conquer the world and their business is gonna take off, which I hope every one of them does.

But inside of it, and it still could be great, but if you don’t have a way to dissolve or an exit, one of the two partners may decide they want to do ice fishing in Antarctica and they want to exit the business. And if you don’t have that upfront and writing in your initial contract, then there could be litigation, there could be problems.

I’d rather have the exit set up, or at least a method to exit when you’re starting the business.
